Insurance
If you are a RFU affiliated rugby team you will automatically be covered to play at South West 7s 2019 through your club’s insurance.
All non-affiliated teams are now covered as they are pre-approved by the RFU to be covered by theRFU’s Accidental Death and Permanent Total Disability Insurance, provided the match ortournament is played in accordance with the RFU Rules and Regulations and the IRB Laws of the Game.
If you are an overseas team or player you will need to provide confirmation of approval from your national federation in order to participate at the Festival.
Refunds
Unfortunately we cannot refund paid entry fees if your team is unable to attend the competition.
Kit
All teams are responsible for wearing matching kit with clearly displayed numbers.
In the event of a colour clash, the team listed second on the competition schedule will be required to change kit or wear bibs.
Refreshments
Local food traders will be on-site, close to tournament pitches.
Changing Facility
Sufficient changing rooms are available on-site close to competition pitches. As there are a number of teams sharing facilities, it is the responsibility of each squad to remove all belongings after vacating. Cleve RFC and SW7s do not accept any responsibility for theft, loss or damage to any property left inside.
First Aid
Private Medical team Star Medical will be on site with paramedic, ambulance and First Aid support on the day. They will be located next to the rugby hub.
Parking
Parking is available for £3 per vehicle. Parking locations will be sign-posted.
Secure Trading 24/Sevens Series
SW7s is a local qualifier of the Secure Trading 24/Sevens Series. This means the Cup winners of the SW7s tournaments men’s and women’s competitions will qualify for the regional finals. Please refer to the official series rules for more information and eligibility rules.
- Duration: 7 minutes each way, 2 minutes for half time
- All finals will be 7 minutes each way, 2 minutes for half time
- Games to be started promptly on agreed schedule time
- Competition draw and schedules will be made available prior to the event
- Teams must register in person and present squad by 9:00 am on the day of their competition

- SW7s will be played to the World Rugby - Rugby Union Laws of the Game. These rules apply to the seven-a-side game, subject to the following variations:

- Captains must meet the referee 10 minutes before each game
- Squad sizes must be limited to 12 players
